Tofu is made from soybeans, water and a coagulant called nigari.

Because it’s popular as a healthy food in the world, you might be familiar of it.

Japanese people often use tofu in their cooking, and very picky about tofu.

It seems those soft and strong bean flavored tofu are more liked than firm and little flavored ones.

You can eat tofu as salad but if you want eat tofu as main dish, fried tofu will be good!

<Recipe for Fried Tofu>

1.    Drain firm tofu on kitchen towels for about 20 minutes.
2.    Cut tofu into cubes or slice.
3.    Put cornstarch on tofu.
4.    Fry them in a pan till it gets lightly brown.
5.    Serve them with soy sauce or store bought teriyaki sauce or Japanese dressing!
