KAWAII! Japanese Robot assistant PaPeRo

NEC improved their guide robot PaPeRo and rent it to businesses and schools.

PaPeRo is capable of about 200 different actions including recognizing people’s faces and tell a message to the right person.

PaPeRo is only 38cm, 6.5kg, and works 100 minutes continuously with lithium battery.

When the battery power gets lower, it automatically goes to its charger and charge by itself.

PaPeRo is not just practical but it’s a good communication robot.

It has touch sensors, so when you touch its belly, it ticklish.

It can talk like a child, do tongue twister and play games.

PaPeRo was exhibited in the International Robot Exhibition 2009 held in Tokyo.
