[Photoblog] Strolling Around in Imaicho


There were a lot of people dressed in kimono. It was like time-slipped to the Edo period.
Miki took this picture on May 15.
Imaicho is designated as Important Preservation Districts for Groups of Traditional Buildings.
Among 600 residential houses, 500 are old machiya wooden houses built in Edo period, and 8 of them are designated as a cultural asset of national importance and 4 of them are designated as a cultural asset in Nara and 5 of them are designated as a cultural asset of the city.
