JAPAN Style previously posted an article about BENTO, Japanese lunch box.
A home made bento usually has rice and various side dishes.
Anything not so soupy or raw can be in a bento but there are typical foods that everyone likes.
So let me share “the best side dishes for bento” that Oricon collected by 1,000 people online.
#1: Karaage (Japanese style fried chicken)
#2: Japanese omelet
#3: Hamburger steak
#4: Ginger flavored slices of grilled pork
#5: Meat ball
Most of them are hearty dishes but it’s understandable because people want stamina for the day.
Another thing! I found a picture of bento that would satisfy anyone in Japan.
It has omelet and hamburger steaks! Mmm looks good!
