Jizo faith has been the most popular belief in history of people’s brief
around Gango-ji Temple since medieval times. 
This Jizo-e festival is memorial service for souls of the deceased regardless of
if they had relatives to hold a memorial service for them, and also an event to pray to
Jizo Bosatsu for prosperity of family as well as health and growth of children.
