Jumbo Kimono in Kyoto

This is really jumbo kimono…

It is named “Hana no Kyo” and was made by 40 kimono tie-dye artisans in Kyoto to promote Kyoto tie-dye in 1991.

 

 

It is designed mountain, weeping cherry and Hokan-ji (temple) in Kyoto.

Length: 6.5 meters

Weight: 8.5 kilograms

 

Wow it’s heavy!
