“Tetsuko no Heya” Marks a New Guinness World Record

A very famous long-running TV show called “Tetsuko no Heya” (literary means Tetsuko’s Room) is broadcast every afternoon Monday through Friday. The hostess, Tetsuko Kuroyanagi, is very spontaneous and naturally funny, and has interesting conversations with guests.

The TV program started in 1976, and the 8,961st episode was aired on April 27. In reaching this number, Tetsuko no Heya was recognized with the Guinness World Record for having the most consecutive episodes! The most amazing things about this record are that “Tetsuko’s never been absent for 35 years”, “she wore different costume every time”, and “all the costumes were her own”!

She is Tetsuko-san (*^_^*)/  Famous for her round onion-looking hair style.

I picked up one video of Tetsuko no Heya from YouTube. The guest this time is the vocalist of popular band, “GLAY”. Check out her hair style and outfit! And gorgeous flower arrangement behind her is designed for each guest every time. That’s also one of the key points of this show :D!
