Kawaii! TwinTail Project Japan

I found a very unique project called “TwinTail Project Japan” run by the Japan Twintail Association. Last year, Kan Furuya, the president of a company called Laugh Valley which runs a men’s apparel brand called “glamb”, established this association just for private fun. By the way, are you familiar with ‘twintails’? Twintails is a girls’ hairstyle in which the hair is parted in the center and tied up into two tails.

Look at the girls’ hairstyle in the photos below. I borrowed these images from the TwinTail Project Japan website. It’s quite cute, isn’t it :D?

Mr. Furuya loves idols with twintails such as AKB48 and Hatsune Miku, and began to have a very special feeling for this hair style! One day he discovered that there are many big fans of twintails around him. Twintail stimulates those fans’ feelings of “moe” [a rarefied pseudo-love for certain fictional characters (in anime, manga, and the like) and their related embodiments /from Wikipedia]. However, the twintail style is only for little girls and young school students. It’s rare to see adult women with twintails. Furuya insists that it must be very cute even for adults. He sometimes asks women to wear twintails, but the answer is always “No” (^^;

He grieves over this situation and is worried that the style will eventually fall out of favor. So, he has established the Japan Twintail Association website to spread the charms of twintails. On the website, snapshots of twintail-sporting women are updated almost every day. If you are interested in it, please do check this website >>> http://twintail-japan.com/
