During winter, simply baked sweet potato, yakiimo is eaten as snack in Japan.
Home baked yakiimo are good but it’s easy to get from a yakiimo vender who drives around a town.
Their yakiimo taste so good!
It’s probably because the venders bake yakiimo in stones, which make potato sweeter.
Yakiimo vendors are often seen many parts of the country.
They commonly play a cappella yakiimo song which goes like “Ishi Yahhh ki imohhhh”. 😛
So, the song is kind of like a sign of winter to us; it brings us the real feeling of winter.
This is JAPAN Style!
