Curry, Gyoza and Sweets… Aqua Metropolis Osaka 2012 Festival

Last month, there was an event called, ‘Aqua Metropolis Osaka 2012 (official: http://www.osaka-info.jp/suito2012/ )’ held in Osaka to enjoy water side of the area.  Today, I would like to introduce an article, which featured this event especially for its food.

This event was held for about a week from 13 Oct in several venues including Nakanoshima Park.  It was an event mainly focuses on activities around waterside.  And it seems many families and couples enjoyed water side picnic and performances, but more importantly, there was wide variety of local gourmet available! ( How can you have a festival without food?? :-P)

Gourmet areas of this events were hosted by 3 venues; Nakanoshima Park, Central Public Hall and Naknoshima Garden Bridge.

For example, ‘CARNIVAL KITCHEN’ in Nakanoshima Park had takeaway food and international gourmet, which are best suited for picnic.  Food available included  popular festival food, Fujinomiya yakisoba, meat wrapped onigiri of Miyazaki pref, karaage, pizza, takoyaki, waffle etc.

How about Central Public Hall?  Just in front of the hall, people enjoyed a lot of sweets during lunch time, and nice food with alcohol in the evening.  Food served here include Hiroshimayaki, Tsuyama tripe udon, Hamamatsu gyoza, korokke burger and Tapioca snow ice cream!
