Are you familiar with canyoning? According to Wikipedia, “Canyoning (known as canyoneering in the U.S.) is traveling in canyons using a variety of techniques that may include walking, scrambling, climbing, jumping, abseiling, and/or swimming.”
Interestingly, many foreign tourists try this thrilling sport in [W:Gunma Prefecture], Japan. A canyon tour company, CANYONS provides variety of activities in the canyons only two hours away from Tokyo.
The company is operated by Mike Harris from New Zealand, and nearly half of the 50 staff is from Australia or Canada. They have about 15,000 customers a year and nearly 30% of them are from overseas.
