In Japan, this “bean jam bread man” is everywhere!

His name is Anpanman and he has been the most popular anime hero for 2 decades.

He is one of the figures a baby first draw!

In almost all episodes, he fights against Baikinman, a germ man who causes trouble in the town.

Since Anpanman’s head is made of been jam filled bread (which is called anpan in Japanese), he can share his face with starving people.

Whenever his face is eaten or soaked in water, his creator (baker), Jam Ojisan (Uncle Jam) bakes another face for him.

Anpanman is so popular that you can find him many places.
