“Too Cute to be Real” Beckii Cruel – British Girl Pop in Japan

Beckii Cruel (born Rebecca Flint) was a regular 14 year-old girl from Isle of Man debuted as sing & dance idol in Japan last fall.

She loves Japanese anime, anison (anime songs), and pop girl groups.

In November 2008, she posted a video of her dancing and gradually became popular among Japanese internet users as an internet idol who is “too cute to be real”.

This is her music video. The one with fluffy earmuffs is Beckii.

What made her became so popular in a short time is her beautiful look.

As you can see in the video, she look is similar to anime characters; they have small face, big eyes, and slender limbs. Her prettiness grabbed those anime fans’ hearts.

So far, she has released CD, DVD and photo book, and in March 2010, she appeared in the big fashion event, Tokyo Girls Collection as a guest model.
