May 16, a robot played a role of representative of witnesses for a wedding ceremony in Chiyoda, Tokyo.

This is the world first robot which ministered wedding ceremony.

It is said that there was a robot which joined a wedding before in Korea but it played a role of MC.

The robot is “I-Fairy” from Kokoro company.

The 135 cm robot was dressed up with flowers and announced the marriage of the couple.

The bride and groom both work in robot field, and they met each other by robot.

They had the robot wedding because they wished that people use robots more often casually.
