A soba stand is often seen at a platform in a Japanese train station, especially in a busy town.

It’s kind of a fast food, and called “tachigui soba ya”, which means “stand and eat soba shop”.

At the most of the soba stand, a customer buys a ticket from a machine and hands it to a chef.

Some stands accept electronic money, so it makes quicker and easier.

Because they serve quickly, and soba is easy to eat fast, those soba stands are perfect for busy businessmen.
