She looks like a human but she is a humanoid robot named Actroid.

It was developed by Osaka University and manufactured by Kokoro Company in Sanrio group.

The first Actroid was unveiled at the International Robot Exhibition in 2003.

There are basically three versions of Actroid; DER, DER2 and DER3.

The appearances were modeled after average Japanese women.

The looks and the motions are more realistic than other humanoids.

They can work as a receptionist, a model, or a booth assistant for an exhibition.

Actroids are usually for rent only but the company is going to sell two order-made ones for the two winners who are determined by lot.

The price is 20,100,000 yen (About 225,513 US dollars) because it’s for the 2010 New Years’ sale.
